Four months before we were getting married and two months after we bought our first home my husband' job was sending him to Amsterdam (this used to happen frequently.) This time I was determined to join him. The meeting was changed until after school let out, we worked out the finances, and off I went. While he worked I spent 9 days exploring Amsterdam, Haarlem, and other places. The Netherlands was not high on my list of places to visit, to be honest. But it was Europe, I teach Global History, and I could really use the break. I never suspected I would fall in love with all I found there. This layout represents the different places I got to visit and captured the essence of my trip.
