Best Use of Color:
Vancouver Aquarium

I absolutely love this layout. I made it a while back and had actually forgotten about it. I love how the blues in the pictures worked so well with the blues in the paper pack. Every time I look at this, I remember a comment from another CTMH Consultant that said after seeing my layout, she was now going to have to drag her kids down to the aquarium and tell them they had to look at the fish with a look of wonder on their faces... just the image of someone doing that made me laugh so hard and still makes me chuckle! What us scrapbookers will do to get a photo! lol

Most Unique Technique:
My Wedding Day
+May+4.jpg)
This is a layout from my wedding. We will be celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary this year. There is a mirror in front of one of the photos of us kissing. I put a cameo broach on the page also, because I wore won in my hair. Our wedding was done in the twenties motif so I used sepia photos and the silhouette paper from Close To My Heart. I distressed the page with ink. It was a great day in my life celebrated with my friends and family. It will also be very important to me for my children to be able to see the information in the envelope about my our wedding when they are older. I will cherish these photos in remembrance of such a special day and years of my life. My husband loves what I did because he thinks with the colors it is more manly too.

Most Humorous:
You Make Me Laugh

My daughter is so funny and so much like me when I was young. She says the craziest things and her imagination is incredible. She also does the silliest things. When I ask her to smile for the camera, the final picture is the result. I love having a fast digital camera so I can capture the progression from a calm 2 year old to a very loud "CHEESE!" She makes me laugh everyday!!!!-Shauna B., Midvale, UT

Most Inspiring:
My Family Laugh

I grew up in an abusive home, my parents divorced when I was 6 months old so my Dad was never a part of my life growing up. And my mom was a drug addict. She died when I was 10. As a little girl I dreamt of something wonderful-something different-my own family-with lots of love! God got a hold of my heart when I was 18 and forever changed my heart and life. I have a hand full of photos from my childhood. No wonderful memories no special words or notes to go along with them, just a lot of hurt that my God continues to heal. God has blessed me with my beautiful family! I have an amazing husband who loves God and serves his country- he is my truly my hero! He is the best Dad, he makes our life together so much fun! He dances and plays Barbie’s with our daughter and he fishes, hunts, and wrestles with our sons (and daughter too!) We have the most adorable children in the whole world, I’m so grateful beyond words that God picked me to be there Mom- they will never know a minute of what I went through as a child. They will know every day that I love and treasure them! And someday when I’m not around to say it anymore-they will have so many precious memories- and my scrapbooks filled with love notes and pictures to remind them. This is my legacy of love. I scrapbook my passion-my family-my treasure from God!

Best use of Photography:
The Netherlands
Four months before we were getting married and two months after we bought our first home my husband' job was sending him to Amsterdam (this used to happen frequently.) This time I was determined to join him. The meeting was changed until after school let out, we worked out the finances, and off I went. While he worked I spent 9 days exploring Amsterdam, Haarlem, and other places. The Netherlands was not high on my list of places to visit, to be honest. But it was Europe, I teach Global History, and I could really use the break. I never suspected I would fall in love with all I found there. This layout represents the different places I got to visit and captured the essence of my trip. There are many other layouts but this was exactly what I envisioned for my "intro page" to this adventure. I hope you like it,too! Thanks for looking!
